As part of our full system overhauls, we supply and install a range of reticulation controllers. One of the main things you want to look for in a controller is reliability and functionality.
Think about what you want the controller to do. Will you need more stations in the future? If you have a bore, will you ever be switching to mains water supply at a later date? If so, you may need additional stations at this point.
Finding a reticulation controller with the right number of stations for both now and the future is important. Also making sure you have enough wires pre-laid to match the controller’s capability is very important. Once that concrete is down round the house it’s not simple to get more wires through.
Do you travel a lot and need the function for controlling your irrigation from your phone remotely?
Many controllers have a rain sensor function, and some take live weather data and use this to adjust the watering.
Having a reliable, quality brand is important as well, after all Perth is an extremely hot place and a reticulation controller is the ‘Brain’ of the system. Without it nothing works. So choose wisely.
We normally use Rainbird as we have found over the long term, they have been the most reliable for us.

- We will come and spend an hour or so on site with you. This is where we can thoroughly go through all your objectives, look at any issues you may be having and come up with a tailored solution to sort it.
- Typically, we will spend 30 minutes or so with you and the remainder will be spent writing a report with estimated costings. Think of us like a consultant that also does the work. You pay for all our time.
