Basic Sprinkler Head Swap Over in Canning Vale

This is a basic sprinkler renovation. We kept the existing pop-ups and existing heights, which weren’t perfect, and simply fitted them with better quality nozzles. In the future, we may need to lower these pop-ups and replace them with better quality pop-ups, as some are too high, at the wrong angles, and may get hit by lawnmowers or cars. However, by fitting new waterwise rotating heads, we made a significant difference.

For this project in Canning Vale, the existing sprinkler system struggled with low water pressure, resulting in poor throw, insufficient coverage, and widespread brown patches on the lawn. To address this, we upgraded the existing sprinkler heads with water-efficient MP Rotator nozzles, which are designed to work effectively at lower flow rates and pressures. This simple yet impactful change immediately improved the system’s coverage, without requiring a full system replacement.

By switching to MP Rotator heads, the sprinklers now deliver heavier droplets that cut through the wind more effectively, providing even, reliable coverage. Although MP Rotators apply water more slowly, this allows for better absorption into the soil, reducing runoff and enhancing overall irrigation efficiency. While no changes were made to the sprinkler positions or the height of the pop-ups in this round, the upgraded nozzles have already improved the system’s performance. Future improvements could include repositioning the sprinklers and installing taller pop-ups to further optimise coverage.
