Canning Vale – Garden Renovation

Native garden in Canning Vale after photo

This Canning Vale garden renovation was a big transformation!

We installed several truckloads of high-quality soil from Green Life Soil Company before setting up an extremely high-quality reticulation system using drip line.

Since the client had an existing bore, we conducted a pressure test to ensure the correct pipe size selection. We then installed a pressure relief filter for the bore and ran drip line throughout the entire garden. We made sure to install all the correct flushing valves, air release valves, and everything needed for the drip line reticulation system to function properly.

Drip Line Reticulation & Soil Quality

One key aspect of drip line reticulation is that it works best with high-quality soil, as this helps distribute water more effectively. In sandy conditions, water can drain straight through, so using good landscape or soil mix beneath the drip line significantly improves performance.
All piping was buried, while the drip line sits flat on top of the soil, designed to have 100mm of mulch installed over it.

Customised Watering for Thirsty Trees

The clients were actively involved in the project and handled all planting themselves. To support thirstier trees, such as magnolias, we wrapped extra loops of drip line around them to ensure they received sufficient water.

Long-Term Results

We revisited the garden a year later to take photos, and it was thriving beautifully!

One crucial aspect of drip line reticulation is carefully calculating station sizes and ensuring enough drip line is installed. It’s far too often skimped on, but being thorough and meticulous makes all the difference in achieving long-term success.
